Being new to all of this I am slowly learning the terminology & abbreviations. Found out today was NSV stands for and I thought I'd share one of mine....

The one that stands out the most is silly but significant (to me anyway). I sat down one day to put on my socks and shoes to get ready for work and I crossed my right leg over my left knee... and it stayed up there!!! I was so very excited. I can't remember the last time I was able to put on socks & shoes that way. I make it a point to do it every time I'm getting ready now just to make sure the skill hasn't left me as quickly as it arrived.

Silly I know, but I LOVE it. Small victories keep me moving:thumbup:

I find it easy to get discouraged, especially when you're uber aware of family & friends around you and it feels like they have these expectations for you to be successful...quickly. But I have to remember to stay positive. I'm always encouraging others to stay positive - I need to learn to practice what I preach :rolleyes2:

I have only lost 40 so far but I can really feel a difference in crossing my legs and my arms!My best NSV is that this is the longest I have ever gone without dieting or gaining weight back!!

I had the same thought this morning. I din't struggle to get my socks on. Maybe now I can get shoes that tie.

I also feel presured by my family to lose fast. I didn't even want anyone to know. I told my mother in law(MIL) because she lives with us and she told the whole family. Now when ever they see me I feel like they are judging wether or not the band is doing it's job.

    • I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.
    • I'm literally almost crying reading this. Mostly because I'mon this pre-op diet and these last two days have been difficult... but also because I needed this! Thank you! Congrats! And a BIG congrats on quitting smoking a second time! It was hard enough to do it once... So - when I say BIG congrats... I mean BIIIIIG congrats! ❤️
