Just got back from Hawaii on the 25th of Jan. This week got the call that I am approved for the Lap Band. Not really sure how I feel, excited, nervous, etc. I am a poor eater as it is that is how I got into this shape. I also eat fast as I am used to only have 30 minute lunches and am always on the go so I know that HAS to change for me. I am mostly excited about the new look, I want to weigh much less than I do now for my daughters wedding on 10/10/10.

Congrats. I know exactly what you mean. I'm nervous for so many reasons....surgery in general is a little scary, this sx will change my life forever, i will eat totally differently forever (like you, I eat super fast and that will HAVE to change....we won't have a choice!), and then there's the worry, what if it doesn't work, what if I lose and gain it back? and who will I be when I lose weight & what will I look like? But the excited and happy part still over-weighs (ha ha) the scary worry stuff!
