I worked hard to get the surgery, had great insurance, so didnt have to pay very much, lost 25 pounds within the first three months, and than I just lost the drive??? I wasnt getting enough protein, so was getting sick all the time. I get so hungry sometimes, I scarf it down as fast as I can get it down, and than it comes back up...I throw up almost every day, but keep eating. I cant give up the sodas, I dont know what happened? Should I go get counseling? Or should I have a more supportive group of friends, that actually push me to get off my ass to exercise, and help me get off the sodas?

First off, you aren't failing. You are struggling. It is hard, but let me tell you, it is sooo worth it! We all have our "slip up" days but you just have to take it one day at a time. The thing that's hard for all of us to realize is that regardless of who we are hanging out with ultimately we are the ones responsible for our success.

If you are having a hard time getting enough protein I know for me, those days are usually because of lack of planning. In fact, tonight I'm planning my meals and snacks for tomorrow (I do it only for the night before so I don't get overwhelmed) and then packing it. As far as soda goes, I had a super hard time giving it up but I just quit cold turkey. It's not worth it.

The one thing that has kept me totally motivated is hearing about people eroding their bands and having to get them removed from over eating and things like that. You can do it, you just need to realize you are worth this and you have an amazing tool that will help you succeed if you allow it to!! Seriously, see if your Dr's office has a support group, or come on here for support. Get back on track and become the best you you can become!! We're all rooting for you!!

    • I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.
    • I'm literally almost crying reading this. Mostly because I'mon this pre-op diet and these last two days have been difficult... but also because I needed this! Thank you! Congrats! And a BIG congrats on quitting smoking a second time! It was hard enough to do it once... So - when I say BIG congrats... I mean BIIIIIG congrats! ❤️

      Einarmige Banditen
