:confused:Hello, I am new to Lap Band Talk. I had LAP-BAND® surgery on 12/28 and will not get a fill until Feb 10th. The problem is that right now I feel like I can eat a cow. I suppose this is bandster hell. I can eat at least a cup of food, maybe more. I was so worried that I would stretch my pouch that I read about and decided to try the 5 day pouch diet which is making me lose weight, but I am having a hard time sipping instead of gulping down the liquids. I am not enjoying this hunger at all. Does anyone have any suggestions. I am wondering how I am supposed to stick to half cup when I am hungry and it looks like more is going down!

I never worried about the whole half cup idea. I just tried to be smart and ate until i was satisfied. The first month or so I was just letting my body adjust. Consequently, when I went and saw my doc. at 4 weeks i had lost 21 lbs. Don't try and starve yourself. My advice is eat the right things, but eat till your satisfied (eat very slow) not until your full. Hope that helps. BTW - I am three month in now and down 45 lbs. Good Luck

Do not worry it is not worth the effort it takes. You will be able to eat plenty. Make Good choices and do not drink with meals and you will feel fuller longer. The 1/2 cup is just someone else's measurements. Do not take that to heart. I ate a ton and lost a lot before my third fill. After my third fill I still lost but I was way more restricted in the amount I could eat it all happened very gradually. Enjoy your journey I am so Happy I have. imaluckydog

So you have had 3 fills now and are really restricted to your amount of food? I'm concerned because I've only had 1 fill and there are times when I can eat a lot! Well, what seems like a lot anyway. At least by what I've been told it seems like more than what I should be able to eat.

But from what you experienced it wasn't until your third fill where you really noticed anything? I'm also thinking I might be eating too fast....I'm sure that could be part of it.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
