Post-0p day 2...the bloat...

Walking, yes indeed...

I seem to have swallowed a balloon. Just pressing lightly on my chest will cause a burp. Walking and squating does seem to help, though.

I'm trying to imagine what stage my band is in at this point. My post-op guidelines tell me to consume 1-2 oz of liquids every 15-30 mins. I don't feel hungry, just bloated. I wonder if you can feel saited with liquids? I think the bloat is keeping my hunger at bay (or is that the band?) and my biggest concern is consuming enough vitamins, protein, and water to stay healthy.

Anyone just banded I can trade ideas with?

I was just banded on 1/12 and I have bloat too but as far a vitamins? I have been tolerating my regular ones that I have always taken as long as I take them one at a time and slowly. I like Life Water and Vitamin Water. Protien will come when you get back on "real" food... Cheese, milk, chicken and fish are great sources. There are lots of ppl on here that have lots of great ideas. keep "browsing" and read posts and blogs. It helps It sure has helped me!

i recomend Carnation Inst Bk fast and Special K shakes over ice...not chauky at all.

I was so bloated the 1st week out...but it also had to do with the swelling inside your stomach area. remember you just had you stomach divided in 2 and the band sewed into place...so that has to do with not feeling hungry. Just be prepared for when the swelling and bloated feeling goes away. hunger comes back...just dont freak out and do what you are told when you get to the mushy stage. I recomment CABOT cottage cheese, it had a lot of protein and calcium and it goes down easy.

Good luck!!

Hi Wordsmyth..I am also in Los Angeles and was banded 1/14. Still a little bloated. Been drinking diluted "Isopure" protein drink from RiteAid...it helps with the hunger

    • I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.
    • I'm literally almost crying reading this. Mostly because I'mon this pre-op diet and these last two days have been difficult... but also because I needed this! Thank you! Congrats! And a BIG congrats on quitting smoking a second time! It was hard enough to do it once... So - when I say BIG congrats... I mean BIIIIIG congrats! ❤️

      Einarmige Banditen
