Do you count calories?

So I'm now eating so little I'm worried that I'm getting enough food. Who woulda thunk it? I'm trying to just go with it though. I'm eating small amounts and get that weird full feeling and I'm satisfied. Do you guys count calories or just go with how you feel in knowing how much to eat everyday

My diet today:

Br: 1 large strawberry, 3 bites oatmeal

Lunch 1/2 arugula salad w/ 2oz chicken,cherry tomatoes,

Dinner: the other half of the salad

 

I would love to hear comments from those who have been down this road longer than me.

I have been banded since 2003. I had a lot of problems and have had the band empty since 2005. I just had it filled last week and I'm doing well this time. It sound like you eating healthy which is the major thing. Are you drinking any protein shakes? A women needs about 50 each day.

Oh and although lettace goes doen easy it does not hold that much nutrition. I'm a nut for 'green food' and I found that roasting my vegi's carmalized them and I'm getting better nutrition than just eating a salad. You might want to try that.

Hey there.....I have been banded for 3 months now and still do not count calories...lost total of 37 lbs now....the only thing I add up during the day is PROTEIN GRAMS. My goal is 68 grams a day. Although calorie counting is prolly a good idea, I have never been good at it and my Dr says its not necessary. As long as you are making healthy choices and getting the protein needs in that you are supposed to, you will be fine. Although from your list it looks like you may be eating too little, you may wanna check with your doctor!

You don't have to look on the side of packages to count calories like in the old days.

There are websites that you just enter what you ate and it automatically counts the calories.

I had a protein shake for breakfast today but it slid right through and I got hungry sooner than usual. plus it's soooo cold here i'm going back to my oatmeal and one soft scrambled egg for breakfast. more satisfying to me right now. But after my next fill I may be going back to liquids only in the AM. It's hard to eat early.

I totally understand aboout protein. It's very very important. I always eat protein first. I have read and followed the Zone diet off and on for many years and always feel great when I can do it.
