OMG! I think I have my sweet spot! :) I don't come on here much anymore, but I thought I would tell all my friends who have gotten me through some rough times and I'm sure there will be more rough times ahead......THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I guess my body likes a certain number for a long time and then finally gives up the ghost and lets it go. I've realized that I just need to keep on truckin! I got my surgery July 13th and have now lost 45 lbs. That's a low number as compared to some of you, but I also realize that i can't compare myself. My body is mine and no one elses. God gave me this body and no one else! I think that's why I haven't been on here a lot. It was very frustrating reading everyones success stories and then I'm stuck! I know that's anti-social, but I have found what works for me. I have also figured out that I can't eat in the morning. I'm very tight. I drink my protein shakes and it works great. I am finally getting stuck on food! I know that's bad, but it's good for me because now I CAN'T eat my favorite foods like home made bread I just got out of the oven!:) But that's OK, I had a bite last night and that was OK with me because I knew if I had a whole piece, I would be foaming at the mouth and stuck to high heaven. :) I like the way I feel right now! I don't actually have that feeling like some of you, that if i take just one more bite I will throw up. But I do get full faster and stay full and satisfied longer. That too is another reason I haven't been on here. The typical for everyone is just not me! I have to find out for myself how much I can eat, how things work, just for me. :) Wish I was like everyone else!

You're not alone, I had surgery in Sept and have only lost 30 pounds. I spent the first three months being hungry and miserable, but I think my fill three weeks ago may have finally put me in a good spot. It is frustrating to come here and see that pretty much everybody has lost more weight than me. Congratulations on your success, two years from now we’ll both look back on this time and forget that we were even frustrated at all.

Do you know how glad I am to hear you say that??? I was wondering about you. I too have been avoiding visiting the website because I had my surgery on the 13th also and have only lost 38 lbs!!!! I got my fill on Jan. 4th and am definitely feeling a difference. I say this with caution but I "think" I may have my sweet spot also. Although today was different. I have been able to eat more than any day since my fill. If this isn't my sweet spot, I have an appt. in Feb. that should get me there. I say all that to tell you Thank You and I am very proud of your success. Keep going and don't worry about anyone else because we all are different and I know everyone here is rooting for us. They have been in our shoes at some point. Take Care.

KP,

You are so correct when you say that you are your own person. God made each of us as different as night and day. Therefore, please never feel like you have to compare your sucess to any other peson. I have not gotten my band, but I pray the process will not be too long. However, I now visit the site daily becasue and encouraged by each and every single person on here. You have inspired me to read your story today.

Trust, one pound lost is always better than any pounds gained.

You are doing an excellent job! Please continue to be encouraged.

YAY!!!! Awesome weight loss...and comparisons are always self-defeating...there's always someone whose lost more (some twice as fast in my monthly group). I never get that 'one more bite' feeling or the 'hiccup' or any of that...we've all just got to figure our own bands out and it can be a challenge. Good job GF! -BG
