How many people have looked at them selves and woundered what will I look like after the weightloss. My husband is very supporative but he has said that there are a lot of women who get the surgery that leave thier husbands. I feel that this surgery will not only change my apperance but will make me more confident. I dont think it will make me leave my husband. The women/men who do leave were just pretending anyway. Who thinks true love can with stand it all? Why do u think we put so much emphesis on looks? I think people are people no matter what they look like. Do any one feel that they did not get the job they wanted because of the way they look. We use to have to worry about our race or religion. funny how this world has changed. I am proud of everone on this site who has decided to take back the power from all those who make fun of us, or put us down to make themselves lool good.:thumbup:This is a new year lets make it one to remember.

My husband has said the same thing.....I have been married for 25 yrs becouse I love him not becouse I am over weight and feel stuck....I am big but feel I am attractive and do get approched by men....so I think big ar small I will love my husband for ever!!!!!

omg we are so going thru this too. i have lost 65lbs andwas always thin before having 3 kids but of course thru the years we have both gained the weight. the difference is i had surgery. my husband was never the jealous type even when i was young and hot but now i sure do get the comments from him. i am even getting a new bowflex to keep me out of the gym and working out at home which i would prefer anyway just didnt tell him that. that one worked out in my favor but definately have had to do lots of reassuring. i dont get it doesnt he know i want to look good for him so he doesnt leave me. definately i have to agree the confidence is greater i have always been strong but i feel confident now. i didnt realize i wasnt confident before but i know now that i wasnt. what a lifestyle change. iam glad someone mentioned this cuz i am sure we arent the only ones going thru this to answer ur question i do think true love can with stand all. i love my husband and our children and our lives the weight loss is just a great added bonus

This is not one of my concerns at all. He loved me thin, he's loved me over the last 22 years as I/we gained weight and he will still love me when I am thinner again...we will just have more energy to enjoy each other! He is only about 50 pounds over weight but is planning to eat better with me.
