I was banded on December 21st by Dr. Duncan in Atlanta. His instructions were for me to walk, walk, walk. I haven't had the energy to walk, walk, walk. Last week I stayed around the house trying to heal. I felt very sore. This week I am better, but still have no energy. I went back to work New Years Eve and was so very tired when I got off from work. How do I regain my energy back. I did join a gym, but haven't not attended yet. Today, I will force myself to go to the gym and get on the treadmill to see if I can get a trend started. No matter what, I am determined to be true to myself to loose the weight. Any suggestions, would be appreciated.

Do exactly as the dr said...walk walk walk.. even if it's just up and around your house. I paced the the hallway the first 3 days.

The more you lay around, the worse you'll feel. You're 12 days post-op you should be feeling MUCH better by now. Unless you have diabetes or something else that makes you heal slower, you should be feeling like normal. But if you haven't been up moving and walking as much as you should (around 200 steps every hour) then you're probably feeling the residual effects of the anesthesia and that's what's making you feel sluggish and lack energy. Could also be a sign that you're ready to move on to the next stage of food, or take your vitamins.

I agree that you need to walk more. Do not be concerned about walking to workout. Just walk. I too paced the hallway in my home. Each time commercials came on when I was watching TV I would make myself walk a bit. It will get better. If it doesn't you should call your doctor.
