Wow, so I really can't explain how excited I am for my surgery in 6 days! January 4th really cannot come soon enough :Dancing_wub: I have the little bit of nervousness but I'm way more excited to even let that bother me! I saw my surgeon today and I had only lost 1 lb since I last saw him. Even though that was not as much as I was supposed to lose I am proud of myself for not gaining through the holidays! Every little victory should be recognized :present: So now I'm on a very strict diet for surgery, I need to try to lose 5-7 lbs this week which my surgeon thinks is possible. If he has faith in me, then there is no reason for me not to have faith in myself. Realistically there is only 4 days left of me being on my diet since my surgery is on Monday and I can't eat on Sunday, so 4 more days is completely do-able. Not that I would ever wish my life away but I'm excited to be a year out of surgery when I look at other peoples pictures! Seeing other people succeed just makes me that much more excited! For my new years resolution, I want to lose 100 lbs, or as close to 100 as I can get. I'm guessing I'll be 260 on New Years which means if I am able to lose 100, I'd be down to 160 next year which means only 25 lbs away from my goal! :bye: How fabulous! I'm hopefully going to go mall walking with my mother tomorrow to get some exercise since my treadmill is acting up & there is too much snow on the ground to walk outside! I'm kind of nervous about not making my weight before surgery, so if any of you have suggestions that would be wondeful!

what are you doing for a pre-op diet?

Hey Kayla.. i feel your excitement. my sugery is January 12th and i cant wait. My preop diet is clear liquid which i have to start on the 7th. that i am not looking foward to. Keep me updated i need someone to talk to. best of luck to you..

Hey Kayla... My surgery date is also the 12th of January... My surgeons office said they sent my pre-op diet to me in yesterdays mail... I'm sure I'll get it today. I see the surgeon for the final time before the 12th on Monday 1/4 and then all my pre-admit tests are being scheduled for 1/5. I feel your excitement. It seems that I have more butterflies and nervousness than you tho'. Keep me posted on your progress. I too would like to be "at goal" for next New Year... This New Year is going to be amazing!!! I just know it!

Hey, My surgery is on the 4th too. I only lost half a pound at my last visit. I am proud not to gain. Since then I have stuck to my diet to a tee. I have lost 6 pounds since then. If I gain my surgeon may cancel. I am soo excited too. I can't wait. My nervousness is fading and I am preparing my family for the first week post op. I could be at goal by next year. I am prepared to work hard for it. I am glad you are excited too.
