I was banded on Dec 2nd 2009. I lost 20 pounds prior to surgery on Boost, then another 8 pounds in the weeks after surgery, Since the holidays hit I have been having a terrible time staying away for all the foods that got me in this place to begin with. I have gained back 5 pounds!! I only go for my first fill on Jan 11th 2010. Am I the only one with this problem?? I feel so guilty, like a failure and I've barely started.:Dancing_wub:

I am in the same boat as you, I had my sugery in the beginning of December and my first fill is not until the 27th. I am waiting for my first fill and am very hungry at night. From what I am reading that should change after the first fill. Just try really hard to stick with the diet they gave you. Don't give into it. If you can hold out until the 11th I thing this will change for you.

unfortunately, you are in whats called "bandster hell" where you have the band, but there is nothing (or little) fluid in there, and you have no restriction as of yet. Hang in there! Once you start your fills, the restriction in the band will help you feel more satisfied sooner during meals.

Hearing this makes me feel better I had my surgery 12/09/09 and am waiting for my first fill on 1/04 I have gained back 2 of the 20 pds I took of before surgery and am quit disgusted with myself, started back to Curves today hopefully that will help also....excited for 1/04!!!!!
