I am thinking of having the surgery and I was wondering if you would do it all again.?. I am scared to death after reading some of the stories on here. I know it is a need to but also a scared to. I try to always look at the glass half full and not half empty but this seems a little scary. I would love to have the surgery and no complications but as reading all these blogs I know there are some. So, my question is would you do it all again even after all the bumps and complications.?. I want to know everything before I do it? Thanks for your help.

I have a dr's apt in two days I plan to talk to him and find out the way to go and what all I have to do. I am just worried about all the little stuff that could go wrong I guess. Let me know how your apt goes!!

For tinkeringaround: I had the surgery done 3 mo ago. I have not had any problems. I would do it again for sure if needed. I have lost over 40lbs. The hardest part was the pre-op diet. After that, it gets easier. I did have a cold a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't eat anything for a day. Then I found that if I drank something warm (broth or apple cider) it cleared the mucus out of the opening so I could eat again. I'm still losing, in spite of the Holidays. I eat mostly what I want, just much less. I do not deprive myself. I do eat healthier than before, but I still ahve a bite of two of my favorites (after I have the healthy stuff).

GO FOR IT AND STOP WORRYING!! It is worth it!

Absolutely! I had my surgery Aug 31 and have lost almost 60 lbs so far. Not a day goes by that I am not grateful that I had this done - it feels like a miracle!
