Hi,

I had my surgery two weeks ago today and lost 13 pounds before surgery and lost 6 pounds since surgery. Is that good or do i have too high of a expectation?:)

I know this is not a miracle cure it's a tool.

But I feel like I've cheated when I have followed it almost to the tee.

Plus, I've been really constipated is that usual.

My first appointment is this Friday.

What should I expect?

:thumbup:You have done great!!! It is a tool to get us started. I look at this way it has started us in the right direction to get healthy, and I thank God for that. I am 42 and right now at 6 weeks post-op. I am 25 lbs. lighter and I feel good. God bless you on your LAP-BAND® journey!

I am down 16 so far and I am two weeks today as well.. I will weigh myself on friday to see who much more I am down... I have seen it a lot that people kind of stall at this stage and then it starts up again... SO I am looking at it from this perspective...

Im at the same place...down 13 or so and have been taking in less than 1000 calories a day. Doc says I am doing great and this was before he realized I had lost more weight than he had originally seen on the chart. When he thought I had only lost 5lbs, he was thrilled. When he recalculated, he was super thrilled! DOn't worry! You're doing fine.

doing good! Just focus on healing right now. Regarding constipation, yes it is normal. You are not ingesting any fiberous stuff right now and your digestion slows down. My doctor recommended Senokot (a natural laxative). If that is too strong they recommend a stool softener Colace. I take Colace still daily (8 weeks post op). Good luck and keep up the good work.
