This is to anyone who has been banded for awhile! I am wondering how much weight are you pretty much guaranteed to lose even if you dont exercise? My surgeon, who by the way isnt the nicest man on the planet, says that unless you exercise like crazy you will only lose about 40lbs! I mean 40 is great and I do plan on exercising but come on now, we all tend to get lazy from time to time.... I just hope that i can lose enough to stop feeling so fatigued , so i can actually get my butt up to exercise!!!! 5 DAYS TO GO......:thumbup:

i haven't had it for a really long time...surgery was on October 21st. but i have lost 31 lbs so far and i don't exercise like crazy. i go 3x weekly maybe for 30 min.... even without exericise your going to loose a substantial amount due to the restriction in eating.

I was banded in 06/15/09 and so far I've lost 45lbs. I am really bad about exercising! I wanted to say I've lost at least 55 lbs by the my 6 months annivasary, so I may just push myself to start.

THe average weight loss for the band is 60% of your excess weight. To lose more, you have to exercise.
