I had my surgery on December 1, 2009. It went quick. In at 8 a.m. and on my way home by 11 a.m. Sips of water only that day. 2nd day post-op clear liquids, until later in the day when I was so hungry I felt nauseous. I had a few sips of my Oh Yeah! protein drink and later a few bites of sugar free pudding. Though, I wish I wouldn't have. Start full liquids today. I am nervous about everything I put in my mouth. I hate to vomit!!!:wink2:

I also got banded on the 1st. I know how you feel. Water, protein shake, any liquid feels very tight going down, I am guessing due to the internal swelling from surgery. Have not tried anything yet this morning but about to and will see how that goes. I have not vomited at all. Just have some soreness in abdomen which can be expected but that is about it. I am like you though, very nervous about getting anything down. Best of luck to you and congrats!!

WLCOME to LBT!! Congrats on the banding! Take things slowly and you'll do great! The pain is just from the stitches on your stomach holding the band and it will go away when they heal. Best wishes! Join the Dec. group here on the home page if you haven't yet. -BG
