I am thrilled to have finally been approved for this surgery! Just getting ready for it I have lost 20 pounds. I got banded on Friday the 20th of November and have lost about 7 pounds, I will get the official word tomorrow from the Doctor how much Ive lost according to his scale:smile2:. I have just begun eating soft foods yesterday and so far so good. I have been feeling great and cant wait until I can throw out some of my fat clothes!! Getting through the liquid only diet over thanksgiving was hell but I did it! I did not realize that I had that kind of strength.

Any advice for a newly banded gal would be appriciated.

Congrads...finally found a bandster sister. I was banded on the 20th as well. My tommy itches so bad that its driving me crazy. Is this normal?

Congrats on your band... I am getting mine done this Tuesday on the 1st, nervous but very excited. Glad you are doing well and that you did well with your liquid diet. I have been on my 2 week pre op liquid diet for 15 days now and have lost 20lbs. I know you are looking forward to the mushy foods. Keep us posted and keep up the great work :cursing:

I was banded on nov 18th,and my incisions are itching also. I think it means they are healing.:thumbup:

Yes mine still itch terribly!I cant wait to tear away the bandages on Friday!!!!!!
