I'm booking my surgery today and I'm looking for some advice. I am planning to schedule my surgery for Wed, Jan 27th or Thurs, Jan 28th. I just realized that my theater season tickets are for Jan 27th. So...should I go to the show on Wednesday night and have the surgery on Thursday? I guess that is really my only option. I started to think that maybe I could have the surgery on Wednesday and change my tickets to the Sunday show, but now I think that I would probably not be up to it. The show only runs Wed-Sun.

Anybody have thoughts?

Ok, this is just me - and we all approach life quite differently. But I don't think I could enjoy the show in either of those situations. You are possibly right in thinking it just wouldn't be enjoyable on Sunday. Possibly. You could also be one of those super-patients who feels no pain and is up bouncing around within minutes, too. But, in my case, I don't think I'd enjoy it on Weds, either. My mind would be racing and I would want to chatter at my sweet loving hubby about hopes/fears/expectations/desires...and having to be stifled through a show would just make that torturous. I don't know for sure, though - cause I'm not there, either. (As you know.) What I can say is I would not schedule the surgery around the show - and if I miss one show out of a season, I would be able to live with that - given what this surgery is.

I like your thoughts. I agree that there is probably no way I'm going to enjoy it on Wednesday. I figure worse case scenario, I would give the tickets away. So, I'm thinking that I will schedule the show for Sunday. If on Saturday, I don't feel up to it, I will give the tickets to friends.

I like that idea.

    • I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.
