I have been banded since Oct 27, 09 and I have to say that the weight loss was going great, a nice 40lb down and then...... I lost all restriction, no pain except for in the brain. I have gained abouy 2lbs and depressed, because I am back at eating like a horse, eating anything thats put in front of me. I notice I am getting down, and yet I know that this is normal, there are posts out there that say this exact thing, but holy hell does the mind really play with you. The idea that this is not a magic pill has set in after the weight all of a sudden quit dropping and its a little depressing. My surgery place will not email me back when I ask questions. i really am questioning life after banding. God knows I am being a suck!!!:mad2:

Hey, hang in there... this is time for your body to heal and you have no restriction yet, the swellon has gone down and that is why you can eat more. Try to make good food choices, this is will will power has to step for a little while, once you get a few fills is when you really start to lose the weight. At best try to maitiane where your at until the fills start coming. This is perfectly normal to gain a couple pounds before, my doc warned me about it, so I wouldn't panic. hang in there we all been where your at. huggs

I hear ya. Oh boy do I feel your pain. I was banded on Sept. 16th 09. I lost 10 lbs on pre op diet, and another 12 lbs within the first 8 days post-op, since then I gained 3 lbs back and lost them plus 1/2 lb. Ugh, thats it. No more. I have had one 2cc fill and am not sceduled for another until Dec. 8th 09. Im hanging in there, but whoever says its headhunger is full of it. If my belly GROWLS its not coming from my head, and it usualy growls within 1.5 to 2 hours after eating. I am really good allllll week long but on the weekends it goes to hell in a handbasket, and in that basket are goodies I shouldnt eat, lol.

Kepp walking and working out as best ya can, keep your head up. I have resigned myself to the fact that im enjoying some stuff I wont be able to enjoy when I hit my sweet spot, until then ill keep pluggin away and lose 1/2 pound at a time. Then LOOK OUT fat your out the back door!

Thanks Rottie, I needed to hear that, Its funny you know all this already and yet the brain really screws with you.I feel like I am gaining and a lot more than just 3 pounds. I feel very scared, I actually ate 4 cookies today, I have o restriction and if I couldnt feel my port I would think my surgeons screwed with me, and stuck an elastic band in there. Anyway thanks for the support, i need to hear I am not the only one right now. I cant wait for that first fill. good luck to you!!!

Hang in there folks NOTHING good comes with out a price to pay, I see all of you know what your doing to regain a few # its like being on a diet till the band takes over and that comes with the fills. So read what you are saying and you will fix it, Head hunger is Hell but once you out smart it. you will be on the right track, And Hey we all fall down, but we got to pick ourselves back up and get back on the band wagon. Chins Up Smile on face and become a loser again.. Jeanie ( Classicmama)

I get some inspiration from the Biggest Loser, love the show, and I feel like I am on track again, somehow over night gained restriction, go figure. Doing well and trying to keep in control, thanks for the encouragement.
