I wanted could someone tell me what's considered 'full liquid" I asked two of the woman I work with who have had lap band surgery and they both gave me different things I could eat...Please help:sad:

Full Liquids are anything you could drink through a straw (protein shakes, smoothies, slim fast, pureed soups, etc.)...they call it full to differentiate between full and clear liquids (broth, clear drinks, etc.).

I just did two days of full liquid and the instructions I got from my surgeon/nutritionist are exactly what Band_Groupie notes above plus fat free greek yogurt. I had a really hard time getting all the liquid in though - 10 minutes for 2 ounces seems to work. Otherwise, I had a lot of pain when I drank too much at once. I had my surgery on Monday and moved on to mushy food today.

@BarbaraWM- That's fast I had my surgery last Friday and they have had me on clear liquids for a week then to Full for the next and Solids after that...Also my doctor asked me to come in on Monday I can literally here my stomach grumbling and that's not a great feeling.

Im preband But everything I have researched and learned so far has told me it takes longer than just a few days for your stomach to heal to be able to move to mushies in just a few days @ BarbaraWM, JMO
