Wow.. I am 5.5 weeks post op and was following all the directions and two weeks into post op found out that my band isn't even closed yet. Then the light switch went on and i was like omg... i can still eat what i want until they tighten my band 11.5.09 I have been eating regular food since. Yes i watch my portions. But am eating fast food just stuff that isn't good for me. It so depressing i read other threads and people that are 5 weeks post op are already down 20 pounds. i am only down 11 pounds. Co workers know that i have had procedure done and they watch me like crazy. They don't know that when i get off work i am rolling to a drive thru to get something to eat.

(Breathe) I NEED TO REFOCUS.. I get my first fill next week.. It's going to be a hard adjustment.

Can't believe i just put myself out there like that! :crying: But i have to be accountable for my actions!!

Be Honest.. Am i the only one that has done this??

I am 1 month out and i never asked my surgeon if i had a fill... when i woke up from surgery they told me they had found a large hernia wich they fixed...and i should take it easy. BUt now i have the feeling that my band is not filled cuz i am feeling hungry and i have not really felt restriction. I have been watching what i eat and have lost 18lbs,i have been drinking 8-10 glasses of water with no problems.... it scares me that in 3 weeks i will be going for a fill and that i will be comeming home not able to pass anything down. Just in time for the holidays.

I suggest you stop going to fast food places cuz when you get your fill it will be really hard to get your brain on the same page...might as well start now.

Soready.....be proud of yourself that you "put yourself out there! THAT WAS BRAVE! HOWEVER, something needs to be addressed. I am concerned that you are not following the protocol as it is key in your teaching and learning process. Are you sure you were ready for this? I can't imagine going through this and the post op pain and intense dieting just to set myself up for failure! You have every power within you to make the right choices....you just HAVE to believe that! I wish you well and that you have a special revelation as to who you really are and how much you can really accomplish! DON'T FORGET WHAT YOU DID THIS FOR!
