Can I eat sushi (on occasion)?

Can I drink black coffee (Monday-Friday)?

Can I eat rice with my favorite Japanese rice topping (on occasion)?

Can I drink a soda (on occasion)?

I suspect soda will soon stop tasting good to me and so don't think I'll really miss this, but I'm just wondering...

Can I eat a small sandwich of wheat bread and turkey for lunch (on occasion)?

How long will I have to not lift weights following surgery?

Can I lose this weight?

For good?

I stopped drinking FRESCA soda and I do not drink any other soda it is my choice. I feel better. I drink Iced coffee every morning of my life I even had a sip the morning of my surgery. Did not make a difference as I was not operated on until 4 pm in the afternoon and I had the coffee at 5 am. I can eat anything I want in moderation. I do not like how pasta makes me feel. I have eaten rice and sushi. You will find what works for you. I have lost 60+ pounds since June 29. I feel great and have so much energy now. Best thing I ever did for myself. It is a great weight loss tool. I have lost every time I get in the scale. I only get weighed every 5 to 6 weeks at my fill visits. Best wishes and keep asking questions. imaluckydog

There's nothing I can't eat or drink (I'd be a grump without my coffee) and my doc allows it all. I have found that carbonation makes me have very 'hard' burps after this last fill and don't do it often anymore just because it's almost a painful burp (not hurting anything, I just don't like the feeling). You'll have to check with your doc on exercise. You will lose the weight as long as you do your part! Best wishes! -BG
