Hi everyone, I was banded Aug 11th. I initially was loosing weight the first week or so. I am now down 18 pounds since surgery. I havent been loosing weight in quite a while. I am concerned bc I am now at 6.5 cc in a 10cc band. I am able to eat quite a bit more than the 2 oz. at a setting that I've read our pouch will hold. Are there others out there besides me that had to have more than 6.5 oz. to feel good restriction. I have never gotten sick and I dont know what the term sliming means. I'm just a bit disappointed in the weight loss not happening quicker and not feeling the restiction I keep reading about. What do you think?

i had my surgery one day before you and i've lost 19 lbs. So don't feel alone. My doctor said it's not how quickly you loose it's that your loosing. I started jogging/walking two weeks ago and the trainer said it would be about 6 weeks before i really started seeing the results from the exercise.

Exercise is so key and the water and what you put in your mouth. It does work if you are honest and follow the rules. We are all losers and do not compare yourself to others. Be proud that you have had success. You are successful!! That is all that really matters ;-) Take charge and direct yourself as this tool is so amazing. I can only eat about 1/2 cup of any food at one meal and it takes me a good half hour to eat it. Best wishes imaluckydog Kathy

Sounds like you need a fill or at least to be evaluated for one. Some fluid seems to disappear from the band so you may really have about 1cc less now. Also as you lose fat, you lose fat around your stomach and the band gets looser...good luck!
