My surgery is the 19th! Monday I start the presurgical diet! ok, thats gonna be hard but im gonna work it out! I went to my nutrition class yesterday and she just really overwhemed me! with the protein shakes, and ounces of water! Maybe she was just talking reall fast because I left so scared and my head was spinning!! Please tell me is it really that hard?????? Im so scared now! Also does anyone know a good inexpenive protein shake?

I like "UNJURY" It tastes good. The price is not too bad either. It's very important to get a good quality protein shake because...hey...it's your health. They have some pretty good flavors too.

I like Beneprotein. It's a little more expensive than other brands but it isn't gritty and doesn't change the flavor of anything you add it to. I dissolve it right in Crystal Light and it's fabulous! I add it to Carnation Instant Breakfast shakes too and it doesn't change the flavor. I don't like any of the other protein powders, so I'd rather spend money on something I love! :thumbup: Good luck! It gets easier, I promise.

My nutritionist said I can have muscle milk Lite- 20mg of protein in each, so I have 3-4 a day. I mix it with ice and throw it in a blender (magic bullet) and it actually tastes like a cholcolate milk shake. I was on Wednesday and am doing OK. Good luck

Well I drink the advantedge from walmart. Its already mixed and for a 4 pk its on $4.98. 1 drink is 17 grams of protein and very low in carbs and affordable, and pretty tasty unlike the other brands. Good luck!

I'm having problem 4 month after. My stomah looks like I have a base ball in there and it is bright red. The Dr. is going to scope it. Just wadering if anyone has had the same problem.
