I feel like I am not dropping enough weight, what am I doing wrong? I am staying under 1,000 calories per day and getting my protien. Started Walking a mile every other day along with some weight work for my arms and body toning. I had my surgery on July 30, 2009, I weighed in at 250.5 and now weigh 228.8. one week prior to surgery I weighed 256.5, but I feel so fat. I know I have lost a lot of weight, but I can't feel that it is enough for the time. I am feeling ashamed and defeated, anyone else experience this?:crying:

If you're getting alot of exercise you may not be getting enough calories. Boost them to 1100 or 1200 per day and see if that helps.

Janet... you've lost 28 lbs in 2 months honey!! youre doing awesome! i'm really proud of you! i weighed 229 at my heaviest when i decided to become a bandster in july of this year and went on a serious diet. Then i weighed 213 on my surgery date september 3rd. now i weigh 203... i want it faster too, but i'm sure its much better to give your skin a chance to shrink along with losing all that weight! and just think: we will NEVER see this number on our scales EVER again!! woooo hooo! keep up the great work!! ~ connie

Lab band is a slow process. Like you I excercise a lot. It took me over a year to lose 78 lbs. I've had the lap band for about 2 years now. I went from 250 to 172 and I was still losing. (very slow) Went in for an adjustment and was told no can do! Instead of getting an adjustment they deflated the band due to dilation. My band caused my pouch above the band to dilate or enlarge and acid reflux is causing some esophagus issues. Therefore, I will be having surgery again to repair the band or gastric bypass. I've gained back 13 pounds since they open my band. I'm very distraugt over it all. Part of me want the mini-bypass or regular bypass to lose the weight quickly once and for all and get on with my life. The lap band is a good procedure but it can reak havoc on your mental state. I know of a couple of co-workers who talked there doctors into tighting the band so tight to the point they can bearly get down liquids. They throw up most foods because it cant get past the small opening. They have lost weight quickly like the bypass. But something is not right about that. One of the girl's skin looks very pale. Not sure what the long term effects would be.

I understand where you are coming from. It's important for us to step out of the lapband bubble from time to time to actually see the results. You are actually loosing faster than the average bandster, so that is a huge success. Sounds to me like you are getting a tinsy bit ahead of yourself. The lapband is known for it's slow rate of loss. Hang in there and give yourself a break. You are doing great!

Thanks to all of you who commented on my post Staying the Course but not dropping the weight. I think that I shall join the Spa and get off the scales. I believe I was watching them too much, I feel better and look better, dropped two sizes and I need to excercise to tone up. I think I was too engrossed in this and I'll now relax and let it happen! You all were great with your comments!

Thanks Arb, You are right, I need to give my body something to burn. I started having headaches and It is probably because of that. I am going to add more protein.

Hi All, I started the Lindora Lean for Life part of the Lap Band program. I have dropped 3.5 lbs in the first three days! I feel thinner and I am now in ketosis. I will start the Daily Plan tomorrow, it also suggest getting a pedometer to see how many steps you make each day! I am ordering one tomorrow.
