:) I GET UPSET WITH MYSELF WHEN I'M WATCHING TV. I FIND MYSELF WANTING TO EAT LIKE SNACK ON STUFF ANYTHING EVERYTHING!! THEN I REMEMBER WHAT I WAS TOLD! DON'T EAT UNLESS YOUR HUNGRY!! :huh2: SO I JUST GET SOME GUM AND CHEW AWAY AND DRINK SOME WATER!! JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF ANY OF YOU GUYS HAVE THE SAME TROUBLE?? :tt1: LOVE & HUGS JENN!!

Hello,

I think we get like that more often then we want to admit. This is a new way to look at eating, only eat when we are hungry, If we all had the ablity to do that we wouldn't need the band. We can just work on iut more each day, and if we slip some, don't beat your self up, we have to untrain our selfs of many years of habits and routines and can't happen overnight. We just have to do the best we can and enjoy life with this band, so if we snack on something once in while it's ok.. just start with portion out the size, not go for the whole bag. We are on the right track just get there oner day at a time.!

Hi

I think I am much like you. I was a big late night snacker so I think it is habit more than anything. I have found chewing gum helps but I also reach for a sugar free popsicle. That and lots of water helps.

Put down the gum..... makes the stomack acids start cranking into action and makes you hungry for real not head hunger. It sux I know but....... I have a giant range of flavoured tea's and coffee or a little treat

Hi, I am new to this, Had my surgery on July 30, 2009. I too get hungry at night, but that is when I was always my hungriest. I am bored, even watching TV my mind wanders away from the program. Find a new hobby, get busy and you won't eat at all. The head is telling the stomach you are hungry. You then dream of all the things you can have to eat, and start looking for something to eat to keep you busy, this food stays with you all nite while you sleep and turns into sugars and starches!!! Learn to crochet, knit, take an art class and sketch, do something else in other words, not eat.
