I have to pay a 17,000 bill for tye procedure with 2 years of fills and so on. What if it doesn't work? What if what if? What does everyone else think?

Call a local surgeon's office, voice your concerns and ask lots of questions. You can probably get them all answered for nothing before they even ask your name.

As surgery goes, it is quite a simple surgery.
