Stop now. It will take your body at least six weeks to heal and especially the internal stitches that hold you band to your stomach are very vunerable during this time. Just because you CAN eat it, doesn't mean you SHOULD. You could cause a serious complication like band slippage. These are the six weeks in this whole lifestyle change that you need to be the most careful. I'm not saying I didn't cheat...but my cheat was moving to protein shakes just before my 4 weeks of clear liquids ended. Best wishes and congrats on your banding! -BG

hey girl, i was feeling the same way - i have mostly been doing the mushies though and i am only allowed by the dr. to eat 1 cup of food during my 3 daily meals with pudding and things like that for snacks. i ate a piece of meat yesterday but i smooshed it up into really tiny pieces. i have been putting my food on a saucer so that i don't over eat and i have been making only enough. i have to to days 3-14 after surgery on mushies and then it is back to solid foods. i get my first fill on 10/07... what about you? how are you healing? i have some tenderness in my port area - but i have about 1 more week off work - if it is still tender when i go back to work - i am going to have to call the dr. i was having shortness of breathe but it is slowly disappearing...

BG - thanks for the warning - i will cut back on trying to eat meat at this point. i have no restriction and i can't really tell if i am full or not anymore - i just feel like i have eaten and thats it??
