Really Need Advice

I went for another fill this past Tues and now have 3.75 cc in my 10 cc band. I am really having a hard time getting in my daily requirements of water. I am feeling confused. I am tight in the am and had heard about that from many others and was not too concerned. But today having salad for lunch and taking my time eating did not go too well. It came back up. I am burping all the time and the min. I drink something I feel it going down. Is that normal? Does everyone with a band feel the food and liquids going down? I can't eat fresh fruit it makes me sick. I don't think I have hit restriction. I noticed that I am sticking with soft foods trying to avoid any epidsodes.

I feel hungry. My urine is slightly darker. Before this surgery I use to call myself a beverage hore. I love to drink and drink lots. I CAN't DO that anymore. I just can't.

I am going for bloodwork in the morning.

I am also due for my period and wonder if that is affecting my bands tightness. I am really finding all of difficult right now b/c I don't know If what I am feeling is normal.

Anyone ready to give me some advice.....

Eileen,

I have 8.5cc in my 10cc band. Before my last fill I could eat just about anything but w/this last fill from July I am tighter in the AM but if I drink first (sip, sip, sip) it usually goes down better.

But I am now taking at least 30 minutes to eat in the morning. I usally start, walk away and do something for 5 min. and then come back. I'll do this off and on until I finish or feel full.

I burp all the time, more then my kids do :smile2: I feel liquids go down first thing in the AM more then any other time during the day.

I feel the food go down if I've been stuck. When this happens I usuall get up and go for a short walk. That brings up a burp and puts a smile on my face.

Maybe you should go back to muchie foods. But either way eat the proteins first and then if there's room go for the other stuff.

Maybe try ice pops or jello to get liquids into you. As for fruit, maybe a smootie?

Some times for breakfast I'll try yogurt w/cherrios (I like the honey nut) or oatmeal.

But then there's times I can eat an egg, 1-2 turkey bacon and o'brien potatos 1/4c or less.

Can't respond on the period thing. Haven't had one in over 7 years.

If you haven't, keep a food/liquid journal. When you eat, make notes about what's going on...stuck, can't finish...

Also keep notes for the doctor--questions you may have at the time so you'll be ready when you go and see him.

With my fill in July it did take a bit for things to get back to normal. I would say 3-4 weeks. Body is just adjusting. I first thought that the fill wasn't working cause I could eat to much.

Keep us updated!

I try to drink something warm in themorning. That seems to help me loosen up a little and get my meds down. I sip on fluids all day. Take care.
