It has been three weeks since I was banded, how my life has changed - I am down 15 pounds - I am happy - I just hope the weight continues to come off. I have changed eating habits - ok - so i didn't follow the recommended diet - But I am still doing good - Dr. didn't yell at me when I told him that i was eating already. He said I was doing so well he wasn't going to fill. I go back in a month. I still have these fears of all the times I was on Weight Watchers - where the weight starts to come off - then slowly comes back - This really has to work.

Way to go. Keep up the good work.

You will be fine. Stay on task; journal, drink your water, do some exercises if you can (go for a walk) and keep us posted.

I was banded in '06, I stayed on task for a year lost 30 pounds and then lost my way (thought I could do it on my own). But I'm back and loving it! I gained some back but I’ve had a fill and I think I’ve found my sweet spot.

WW might come back in a good way though. A lot of people use it to stay on track with food and calorie count.

I journal all my food but don't count calories, to time consuming for me. I eat just about anything I want but just in smaller portion sizes or just stay away from it cause it really isn’t good for me. I also eat 6 to 8 times a day. When I leave the house, I make sure I have a lunch tote filled w/snacks just in case I’m out for a while. Really stops me from driving to that Fast Food joint when I’m hungry.

But one thing you should remember is if you eat more than usual or something that you shouldn’t. Don’t beat yourself up over it; acknowledge it, learn from it and then get over it.

I find that by posting my food for the day helps and I can get other ideas from seeing what others have had for the day too. Try this link if you haven’t already; http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f9/share-ideas-what-did-you-eat-today-36828/
