WOW!!! I cannot believe I lost that much weight already, its crazy. Last summer I was on the Gym and diet thing for 2 months, I lost 18 in 2 months.... Of course gaining it back again. Not to say this band thing isn't hard because this has been the hardest 8 days of my life on the liquid diet. I watch tv and all the commercials are about food. If Dave wasn't dead I'd kill him also including Col. sanders, Ronald McDonald, and that stupid Burger King "guy" to name a few. You can't even get away from the thought of food when you are trying to avoid it. I keep telling myself to focus on the weight loss and I think that will get me through the rough times. Here's to hoping that these cravings begin to diminish along with my weight!!! :sad:

Hey there, thanks for the excitement. You put a smile on my face. My starting weight was 202 and my goal is about 125-130. I am now 9 days post op and 15 lbs down I'm excited that you are planning to get the lap band. Have you tried going through insurance first? You may or may not get approved but its worth a try while you are saving. Also, I know there are some financing options but I don't know much about it. You should try contacting one of the Lap band companies they might be able to help with that. I had to private pay bc insurance didn't approve. I worked with the Surgeon, the hospital and anesthesiologist to get a better price I paid some cash and was put on a payment plan for the rest Does Dr. Ortiz work out of Mexico? I heard a lot of good things about that. Well good luck to you keep me updated on your journey
