It seems that my surgery pretty much is controling my life. That is okay though. It is good to have something to be excited about and to have a goal set for myself. I had my surgery on July 13th. So I am just 2 1/2 weeks post banding. I do not get my first fill until 8/13. I can't wait. I want to feel the restriction. I think I need that extra push. I am hungrier now than I was the 3 weeks prior to surgery when I was on the liquid diet. It is a bigger battle than I thought. It never entered my mind that I would not feel full on this little diet I am on now. I just did not think about the waiting period for the 1st fill. I do anticipate great rewards in the long run though.

Hey there....Im new to this but as i opened your blog I felt like I was reading my own thought on the computer. I had surgery on the 13th as well and go for my first fill on the 18th. I understand what your feeling right now. I cant wait to feel some restriction. I am on the soft food right now for another week and cant wait to eat something more than fish or scrambled eggs. I feel great tho and feel like I can eat more now. lol. But I too am excited for the long term rewards. Prior to surgery I lost 60lbs and since surgery I have lost another 18. How are you doing on it??

thanks for the response. Man it feels good to have someone you can relate to. I am doing good. I have lost 20 all together. 7.7 since the surgery. Today was weigh in. I know that I have to step up the exercise. I am so bad about that. I just went back to work after 3 weeks off for funeral and surgery and I just don't want to exercise. No excuse though. How are you doing on the exercise? And how long did it take you to lose the 60? that is great. What did you do? As we speak I am so hungry. I better chew a piece of gum. lol Take care

Hi bobbalou,

Find comfort in knowing that most of us have been in the stages you are now. I know that doesn't do a lot of good when you're hungry and everything looks good except the things you're supposed to eat(omg).

I know the feeling about not wanting to exercise. I have to stay at it daily cause if I miss a couple it's real easy for me to miss more. I'm trying to make exercise a habit but occasionally I'm tempted to fall off the wagon(sm).

When I get hungry and it's not "time" to eat, I drink water or lemonade. I use those crystal light single packets and add to a bottle of water. Most of the time it helps.

Take care.

Thanks yellowtopaz. I need all the encouragement possible. How far into this process are you? How much have you lost? If I have succeeded at anything in my life, this is it.
