I'm now a Bandster. I'm so happy.

My experience was absolutely great (other than the two hour delay in my surgery). I feel great. I'm home (so still on the last dosage of the IV pain killers). and so so happy to be able to eat (?) some full liquids.

I'm a little fuzzy...a lot tired (hospitals are tiring places). I stayed over night and I'm glad I did.

I had the band, and I'm glad I did; the people who got gastric bypass the same day as I are still looking like they have been hit by a truck. I walked two miles in the 24 hours I was at the hospital.

Nap time for me now. :smilielol5:

Hello,,, new to all this posting about my weight thing,,, always wanted to pretend I was just cuddly,,, can't classify yourself as cuddly if your talking about weight loss surgery I guess, lol. Anyway,,, you mentioned staying overnight? My doctor said it would be a day thing,,, I wonder if I misunderstood him?

Seems like most are same-day...once you can drink and keep down fluid you're gone. The truth is, I wish I could have stayed the night. If your procedure is late in the day you often do stay and some docs just keep all their lap banders over...

My surgery was very late in the day - originally scheduled for 3:00, but he got called into another dr.s emergency - so my surgery didn't even start until 5 p.m. The people who were first in the morning were gone by the time I went in. I'm very glad I stayed though. It was just comforting to know there was someone trained checking on me. I love my husband - but he ain't no RN. :sneaky:

Hi, Best wishes and feel better soon. I was scheduled to go in at noon and I did not go into surgery until 4 O'clock. I had an extremely long wait then the Dr. came out and said he had an emergency and then I would be next. He also thanked me for being patient and also for filling in a spot that another person was unable to make. The story of my life is the waiting game. When it comes to lap band take it slow and easy. Chew only when it is time and go slow and easy. I know I said that twice! I am reminding myself to do that as I just had my first fill and I again have to chew slowly to beat the band. Welcome, we have fun on these pages. Thanks for sharing and please keep us posted. imaluckydog
