I know exactly what you mean about the gurgling! i got my first fill last week (4cc in a 14cc band) and gurgled like crazy for a few days after. now its seemed to go away. next week: 8/5 is my next scheduled fill... wonder how much i'll get put in. i can still eat a pretty dang big meal at dinner...

Hi BG, I had my first fill today at 3 pm. So far so good I have only had about one cup of water so far. I have to do liquids for 24 hour and then mushies for 1 to 2 day depending how I feel. I was not trilled with the procedure. Thats for sure. I love your blog. I will start mine tonight ;-) Thanks again Kathy imaluckydog

that's great you have restriction now! I found the same thing, having to retrain myself after the last fill.

i went from being able to drink as fast as i could to have to SIP...

my last fill was 4/23! I JUST...in the last 2 days can eat just about anything, but have to go slow and get full quick. Before a couple of days ago, i was getting that painful feeling quite often and was even fighting back my shakes coming up on occasion. i even called the Dr. 2 weeks ago and asked 'what do i do'. in the end, i waited it out...i was able to eat some things, i was able to do shakes and water.....and it got better.

i should be going in soon for an appointment to go over my labs soon and i will see then if i need a fill (i'll see how my weight loss is going and how much i'm able to eat).

I hope it loosens a bit for you and that you have finally found your SWEET SPOT!

I am so happy and excited for you...overweight, onederland, and restricted! Sounds weird but its all good to those in the know!! Sometimes I think I'm a freak to have restriction with an empty band but I guess its the good kind of freak! I just got painful/stuck/ gag/foam/slime on some pecan halves...I was on the computer and that spells distraction! I can still feel it but now that its little more than uncomfortable I try to kind of enjoy it (band working) and learn from it (brain not always working). PS: THRILLED for DD!

My doc requires we do liquids for THREE days followed by THREE days of pureed foods before we can return to solids after each fill. You might want to advance your diet more slowly as you approach good restriction/Sweet Spot, so as not to have the sliming/PBing/actual vomiting!

Just a suggestion...and certainly worth the try...can't hurt anything, but advancing to solid foods too quickly could!

Good Luck!

    • I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.
