Well here I am. 5 days post revision surgery. I feel kinda like I don't know what I am doing. I have been banded for nearly three years. I have had moderate sucess and then the slip. I had months to prepare for my first surgery and felt mentally and physically prepared. Now I am starting over. It is like I had pushed all the memories of having the band out of my head. I am wondering what to expect. I have already lost a few pounds. I just need to get back in the swing of things.

Hi, I have had my band for 4 and a half weeks and I am getting my first fill tomorrow. You sound like me. LOL!!! I had a surgery date of July 20 back in the day. It was about a few days out and the nurse calls me on a Friday June 26 and says how would you like to come in on Monday June 29 and have your LB done early. Ya RIGHT I said!!! I was not ready at all. It is a shock to your system so take it slow and easy. You know it will all come back to you. Have confidence in your NEW BAND and yourself. You have done so well for 3 years you are inspiration to me. Thanks for sharing. Kathy imaluckydog

I too, revised from Vanguard to a Meridian band. My surgery was 7/09. I have only lost 24 pounds of the 50 I gained and I'm now seriously lactose intolerant. I asked my doctor why the weight loss is so slow -- I've had to work for every pound I've lost. She said all of her patients w/ a revision band have said they can't lose weight. I'm on a losing streak right now, but the lactose thing is really bothering me! If I eat anything dairy my stomach just kills me and roars constantly for days--lovely.
