I had lapband surgery on June 22, 2009. I'm one month out and I've schedule my 1st fill. I went for a follow-up 2 weeks from sugery and had lost 8 pounds. However, since then I've gained the 8 pounds back and seem to be able to eat almost as much as I did before surgery. I'm very worried that I'm doing something wrong does anyone advice/suggestions??

I suggest reallly watching what you are eating. Avoid sugar and fat, obviously. but also be aware of portions and no carbonation since it can stretch your new stomach. i know you can only eat so much but ive heard it is really easy to stretch your stomach out. im having it done on thursday and heard all about this today. good luck!

I also am about a month out of surgery (6/24) and am totally in the same boat as you. I feel like i am eating to much, not nearly as much as i used to, but more than i probably should. I dont want to stretch my stomach or casue a slippage, i am constantly worried about this issue. But still can not win the battle over my portion control problems.

You will be ok. Keep writing down what you eat & when. This will help! Don't forget about the water.

I bring a lunch tote w/me when ever I know I'm going to be out for more then an hour. (I'm a SAHM-so I do't have to worry about work) I bring snack; almonds, cheese, crackers (yes crackers-1oz), yogurt, carrots, fruit and one or two water bottles. Don't starve in between meals it will just get you in trouble.

I eat about every two to three hours, meals to snacks through out the day and I try not to eat after 7-7:30. But with 4 kids, that's not always the case, but I try.

Keep us posted on your journey.
