I AM GETTING BANDED ON AUGUST 11, 2009, IN DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, I AM SCARED BUT ALSO EXCITED. I HAVE TO DO THIS FOR MYSELF AND FOR THOSE WHO LOVE ME AND WANT ME TO FEEL GOOD NOT ONLY HEALTHY, BUT ALSO WHILE I LOOSE MY WEIGHT TO GAIN MY SELF ESTEEM AND COMFIDENCE AGAIN, AND TO PROOF THOSE THINKING THAT OVERWEIGHT MEANS FAILURE, THAT I COULD ACHIEVE ALL MY DREAMS. I WISH I CAN FIND PEOPLE FROM MY AREA (NORTHERN NEW JERSEY) TO BECOME "JOURNEY BUDDIES" TO GIVE SUPPORT AND IDEAS TO SUCCEED IN THIS NEW GOAL. PLEASE WISH ME LUCK.

Best wishes and GOOD LUCK. I was scared as well. I think everyone is, then when you have it your are sore for a while and in a few days, it was about 1 week for me you feel better. I was a baby and had a hernia that needed repair so I took extra time to recover. It is the best thing I have ever done for myself. You will find someone in your area and everyone on this site will be your friend and buddy. I was banded just 3 weeks ago and I feel great. I think it is up to us to create our own destiny. imaluckydog
