So today, I find out that I will NOT I repeat, will NOT be able to eat chinese food. I went to lunch with the girls. One of my favorite things in the world is Chinese. So I decide I can do this is If I am careful and dont overeat. WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didnt even eat much. I thought I would die with in the hour. :sad:I threw up once and was in the bathroom five times with in the hour and three more times since then. I am not sure why or if my body is just not gonna take certain foods now. I dont have to feel guilty about eating the chinese though, I have been to the bathroom so many times I bet I am down ten pounds. lol. I WILL NOT DO THAT AGAIN. God bless to you all. ps, i have been banded almost 8 weeks.:cursing:

WOW I have not yet had Chinese Oh how I wish to have some now. I am banded just 3 full weeks. I do know that they are heavy handed with MSG and that may not be so good for us banded folks. I have had rice with no problem, but not more than 1/4 cup of it. If food is coated in a fried batter and then a sweet sauce that could be what might be getting stuck. I was away on vacation last week and I found the grilled red meats and chops did not go down at all. I was very uncomfortable I must say. Sea food I can manage and do not have as much of a problem. I'd say try again in a few weeks and go very slow and chew chew chew someone said to me "Make your mouth the magic bullet". Best wishes imaluckydog

I am stating to get on my own nerves because I always bring this up when people talk about getting stuck and/or sick: Papaya Enzyme tablets!! Think I'll change my user name to papaya evangelist. Seriously I dont leave home without them...they relieve the stuck pain instantaneously and you dont have to spend the rest of the evening sick and in pain...I NEVER leave home without three pills in a keychain pill holder on my keys!!

I can eat chinese but not rice. Just a few bites and I feel like I am going to explode. What is chinese food without the though... Breaded foods seem to give me a problem too. Especially popcorn shrimp. I have learned to stay away.

The wierd thing is, it did NOT get stuck. I didn't have that feeling, I just cramped like I was dying, had nausea and lived on the potty all afternoon. It was not pretty
