They are horrible, but you have to ask yourself, "how important is it to me that I have my band?". If your liver isn't shrunk, they will close you up without the band. I drank Muscle Milk through a straw. Once I opened the container, I didn't stop drinking until it was gone. You gotta get used to it. Your post-op success depends on how much protein you can get. After surgery, the shakes are the only way you can get the required amount of protein for a long while. I'm a fine one to talk because I get close to 0 protein and I'm almost 3 weeks post op, but that's why I feel horrible all the time. Don't wimp out like me! You can do this!!!

OK, so i had my first shake this morning.. blah!!! it was/is so sweet. it says to add 8-10oz of water... i added 16oz to make it taste a lil better for me,but I have to take them and i will. i also started walking more yesturday, so i am really hoping that i loose some weight before my surgery. i have a question. did you sr give you vitamins to take, so that you don't get stones?

My sugery date is JULY 30 too!!! Omg this diet is killing me haha since I have to cook for my family and can't eat! lol.. Im really concerned because I want my liver to co operate!!! and do not want any complications but I think I may be pushing the diet a bit too much with just drinking water and eating 1 non fat pudding a day..?? =0(
