Okay so I know this will sound much like my last blog but I am so agitated. I have been banded 6 weeks today. At first it was awesome. Yes I would like to say I would do it again in a heart beat, am not regreting my decision and consider this a blessing, however,i lost almost thirty pounds immediately, had my first fill last week and nothing, nothing for three or four weeks, not one pound, as a matter of fact i am up and down from 27-30 total lost allthe time, back and fourth. I eat what I am supposed to, cant believe I am not 100 pounds on this diet i eat nothing lol. I drink my protein, for the love of pete what else can i do? I dont expct to wake up 125 pound next week but this is driving me nuts and i am really really getting discouraged.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Thanks for letting me vent and God Bless.:sad::glare:

I understand how you feel and where you're coming from. I'm 3 my post op as of July 15th and I've only lost about 25-30 lbs it's goes up and down also.. But just to say I think you're doing great with a 30 lbs lost in 6 weeks... that's good... I had my first fill on june 15th and I haven't feel a bit of difference... I called the dr's office and they can't get my in until august 10th they were book all the way up until sept and they squeezed me in.. Thank U I'm like... I only do protein shakes in the morning and yougurt and had been doing soups for lunch... and eating a normal dinner.. I kind of got discouraged also.. But I must admit over the 4th of July weekend I was bad.... I needed a break from the usual... and then to top it off I went to my Pcp on yesterday and she indicated the weight was coming off slower than she expected.. I'm like oh my goodness I'm really stressing now. but she said she's still proud of me and that good.. I'm like yeah right... Hang in there I know we'll get through this.. Be blessed.

For discouraged banders: I'm 8 months out from my surgery and have lost 45 pounds (10 pre-op) I have been where ya'll are (frustrated and second guessing your decision). Heres how I look at it: I feel happy because I will never have to weigh as much as I did before the surgery AGAIN! I have hit a plateau and have not lost any weight for a month or so. I've started exercising and watching my sugar intake. Sugar seems to be my biggest ememy. It's a lifetime commitment. Take it one day at a time and hang in there!

I'm wondering if you're eating enough calories and enough solid protein? If you're near 800cals. a day or lower your body will go into starvation mode and will hang on to every calorie. Does your doc really have you drinking protein still 6 weeks out (you should be on solid proteins by now, I'd think?). Hang in there girl, I only lost one pound the entire last month...Bandster Hell WILL end for us with fills! -BG

thanks to everyone. Honestly just having this to let off steam helps alot. to clarrify, i am eating normal food.the doc wants me to drink protein shakes also for a year to make sure i am getting all the protein in that i need and it is good for boosting matabilism too. i hope that the weight will start coming off soon. i would do this all again and never 0nce second guessed my decision, just feel sad at times that i am trying so hard, being "good" with no results. I wish you all luck as well and God Bless each of you.
