:blink:OKay so like here I am... I am about to go to my 1st visit on july 16th and sooooo excited.:confused: I have yo-yo'd through out life with my weight and finally discoved i had a thyroid that was out of wack. I weighed about 170 then and I had to go for radation treatment for it and it killed my thyroid. So over the years I have been stuggling with my weight. I have tried numerous diets and all. Stuggled with depression because of it. I dont like taking pills so I had to get off because I dont sleep anymore. I cant breathe and I am always hungry. My hubby is in the military and I have been through 2 deployments with him and I tragicly gained over 60 lbs. When i get depressed I eat and cry so you can see how my like was killing me slowly... So I decided to try and do something about it. Now here is my journey to becoming the me I want to be. I will always have to take at least one pill for the rest of my life but I dont want to be depressed :blushing:at looking in the mirror. I dont go out unless I have to and I use to go out all the time when I was thinner. I need to get all this excess weight off of me!!! So help a sista out and we will see where this road leads me!!! thank you for taking the time to read my beginning!!!:success1:

Hey! I had to attemp murder on my thyroid and then finally had to have it surgically removed. Here is an interesting twist to my 107# weight loss. I was taking 200mcg every other day and 188 the other days. Now I they have just moved me down to 100mcg of synthroid daily and I will recheck in a month. It is a nice side effect for me.

I took the radioactive iodine as well. Didn't work so Im going to have the surgery in August. Im taking the meds trying to get my numbers up to a level that the surgeon will accept. After I get this done.. hopefully WLS will follow soon.
