AArrrggghhh I can't take it anymore. I was just banded June 3rd and have already cheated on 3 or 4 different occassions. My family are big junk food eaters and I have asked them to help me by keeping their junk food out of my site. Yet, my husband asked me to make him a cake (my weakness). Thought I could do it and not have it bother me...wrong!! I came home today from work hungry and I'm the one who has to come up with a dinner menu the rest of my family will eat. No support. ANY ADVICE. They wont eat veggies or anything that is light, low fat, fat free or healthy. :crying:

Your husband is a grown man. If he does not like what is on the table he can make his own dinner. Do this for you. Do what you need to do to be healthy. No more making cakes or all that stuff. Atleast not until you are able to not indulge.

I can't imagine the temptations that you are facing. Plumcrzy2 is right. This is about you. You do what you have to do for you. No cakes. If he wants one so bad, he can fix it himself. or...Most grocery stores have single slices of cake. He can get that. Keep telling your family that you will need their support... Hopefully, they will come around. For now, walk away when they start eating junk food.

I feel your pain! Since you plan and cook the meals - buy and cook what is healthy...it won't kill them! If they are hungry enough..they will either eat what you've prepared, or shop and prepare something else for themselves. If hubby wants cake - either make a healthier version..or buy the single serving for him.

I know how hard it is - the unhealthy food that my husband brings home "speaks to me"...no matter how bad I know it is for me! I wish he wouldn't buy that stuff...then it wouldn't be available in my house.

I agree with everyone else, cook for you, if anyone else is hungry, they will eat what you cook. As for the junk food, throw it out. If someone brings more in your home, throw it out again. They'll eventually get the idea. Good Luck!
