Roadblocks aren't going to stop me!!
My PCP is requiring I get clearance from my Endocrinologist. I have learned I have to have surgery to remove my thyroid before I can proceed with weight loss surgery. I'm on thyroid meds until end of July and hope to have the numbers down where they can remove my thyroid in August. I'm one the few lucky people that has hyperthyroid and are overweight!! :mad2:
This week I met with the Nutritionalist and physical therapist. I have the appointment for the psyc exam this next Monday June 15th. Looking forward to getting one more thing behind me. One more stop toward the goal!! So when I get this thyroid thing taken care of.. We should be able to send the paper work in... to United Health Care.
I keep thinking.. they can give me a chance to have a life so different.. increase the length and quality of my life. Their decision can affect my childrens life. By feeling better I may be able to have a longer career. I keep hoping... I will be one of the lucky ones that gets approved!!!:thumbup:
