:confused:okay, so in order to get the lap band i have to lose 10-15 pounds by june 30th. i have a hip disease and it really limits the amount of exercise i can do. and obviously i have no will power when it comes to food. but i really REALLY want the band so im confident i can stick to any weight loss plan for another 20 days. i did the cabbage soup thing last week and i went form 253 to 247 but i need to get down to 239. so i was wondering, if anyone had any tips. or what your pre op diet consisted of. i dont need long term tips i need quick fixes. my bmi will be a 37 when i get to 239. my doc only wnats me to lost this weight as a sign of commitment, but my insurance will approve me if my bmi is around a 39 so whatever i lose i will most likely need to gain back. seriously, i just need quick fixes....please help me. i want this to be the last time i ever do a "quick fix"!!!!

Cut our ALL carbs (stay under 10-20 a day) and eat only protein. that will drop you pretty quickly. All lean meats (Chicken breast and turkey cooked in a health way...baked) This will also kick cravings by the end of the two weeks too. get on a site like www.sparkpeople.com to keep track of what you eat. It will count your calories, carbs and protein for you!

You can just go to the famous liquid pre-op diet. If you do the right protein shakes, your carbs will definitely be under 10g/day. You caould also do salads to have something to much on, but depending what is in your salads you are going to add carbs. Lean meats would help to stave off the hunger also! I wish you the best of luck... if you really want it... you can really do it!

I had to drop weight quick (15 pounds in 2 weeks) before my surgery cause i waited so long to get started and while I don't recomend it cause it is such a quick fix it definitely worked for me. I got the hollywood 48 hour miracle diet at wal-mart and dropped 8 pounds in 2 days then went really low calorie and no carb for the remainder it came off but if I hadn't gotten the band right away it all would have come right back. Good luck

Since this is only for a quick fix I would recommend Master Cleanser fast. I have done this many times to shed will weight in the past. If you google it you can read about the fast but esentially it is 8oz of water 2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lemons, 1 tablespoon of Grade B maple syrup and some cayanne pepper. Good Luck!
