I went in to have my second fill today. I have 3.8 cc in my 10 cc band and I am down 61.5 pound in a little less than 3 months. I am so happy I could pee. Read my blog and find out how...or ask.

I'm so inspired by the great results. I'm getting banded this Thursday (11th) and am on total panic mode. How's the post diet? What would you say is the secret to your success?

This was shared with me at my first group meeting, post-op. I have protein shake for breakfast, a Special K protein water for mid morning snack, protein shake for lunch, another Special K Water for after noon snack then 4-6 ounces of protein for dinner. The protein and eating or drinking often keeps you metabolism up and I drink Vemma 2oz shots for the additional nutrition and as I say in my blog, exercise. I walk two miles a day at lunch, and 4-5 each Saturday & Sunday. Then there is all the energy you have to get that list done that has been hanging around while I was fatter. The point I am trying to make is the LB works if you work it. If you get hungry get a fill, don't give in to your old habits or think what can I get by eating, remember this is a fresh start. Use the tool. Hope this helps.

That's amazing! I am excited for you, but at the same time envious. :( I eleven weeks post-op and I am down 31 pounds. I am working out 5 days a week. I do a protein shake for breakfast, small protein of some type for lunch, same for dinner. You are inspiring!! I need to kick it up some. I just had my second fill this morning. Hoping to feel more restriction. Thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks for all the great comments, I am just following the plan. But please be aware you should not judge your weight loss against someone else. We are each unique, your loss may be more or less. The point I was trying to make is the LB works.

That is so awesome. Sounds like you are doing 100 percent right. I was banded on March 27th, and I am only down 31 pounds. Very frustrating as I walk 4 miles a day, 6 days a week. I am starting to think I am not eating enough or something. I had my 4th fill today and STILL NO RESTRICTION WHATSOEVER.

khayles are you tracking what you eat, you could be getting to much or too little, and maybe not often enough. Or this could be what is normal for you, each of us are different so don't be discouraged. 31 pounds is GREAT>
