DS1's Graduation was perfect. It was a beautiful evening outside in the stadium. I wore my sunglasses to hide all my tears and had my tissues handy. DS1 was so happy. We got lots of pics with him and all his friends…what a great group of kids they are (a bunch of well rounded smart kids with great futures). We went out as a family afterward for a late dinner at DS1's work place (fancy Italian restaurant) and it was a lovely end to the day. The place is huge and packed, but so many co-workers came over to offer their congratulations and tell us what a great kid/worker he is.

It is the last time you'll ever be here and more power to you. You're doing a great job and woweee 41 gone now and look how close you are to ONEderland...before summer is over you'll be well under 200! I can't wait to catch up to you! Have a great weekend. kathi

BG - AWESOME job! I know exactly how you feel, many times I'm reading your blog and I feel like you're writing about me. Part of me wants everyone to notice that I've lost some weight and the other part doesn't want anyone to notice because it will be easier to deal with seeing people if I fail and gain it back again. I like you have lost and regained so many times and each time I've gained it back its harder to believe it will work the next tiime. You continue to inspire me and need to keep the great work and believe in yourself.

I believe..... I believe in you TOO!!! I believe when I get banded on July 20th that I never want to look back at all the numbers up, down, up, down only numbers. Keep writing I am learning with every blog. I just want to say THANK YOU for sharing. Our lives and your stories seem to be very much alike. You have a way with words.

Congrats...next time you are in the grocery store take a look at the gallon bottles of water...each one weighs 8 pounds, five of them used to be on you! Or just think of one of those 5 gallon bottles for the water cooler! WOW!!! I truly believe that we will never gain this back and that that is really what the band does! If you cant snarf down a delicious italian meal that you're not hungry for, it would be pretty difficult to gain 40 pounds!

Well written, and it sounds just like me. Why do we always diet for a goal of some sort, and then let ourselves go? I can't wait to get my band - hopefully in the next 2 weeks. I would be proud to say I've lost 40# - that's a big deal. Keep up the good work, and keep posting.

PD- Good analogy...I don't think I could carry 5 of those...can't imagine strapping 40 lbs. to my back every day...makes you appreciate the 'lighter load'.

lauraq- Countdown time for you! Thanks for the encouragement and good luck on your banding!
