Wedding Dress Blues

Hi Ladies, I am getting married next month and still don't have a dress. I went to davids Bridal to buy one off the rack. I have lost 66 lbs and I still need a size 26 wedding dress but i can wear size 22 pants. This was very disappointing. My question is does anyone have a beautiful dress in a 26 they want to sell or know where I can purchase one off the rack in ohio, chicago, or Indiana? Any help would be great ahving a small vegas wedding. Trying to get rid of at lest 10 lbs in 2 weeks....lol   Thanks for your help.

I Am Scared And Trying To Keep The Faith

I am scared I am gaining weight, I purchased a scale about 3 weeks ago and I weigh myself 3 to 4 times a day and each time it says something different.   I am struggling with what to eat, I think I am doing the right thing and it seem like I am gaining. My Doctors office called today to inform me I was dehydrated and needed to go in and get fluids. I came home got on the scale and it went from 301 this morning to 309 is that right is it normal.   I am scared, I am failing, I am not losing the weight I thought I would. I am going to go back and see the Nutrionist to get some help with my meals ans portion sizes. I want to be successful with my weight loss. I started this journey at 349 lbs, when I went to my post op I was 307 lbs, my scale has not gotten down under 300lbs and it's been about 3 week.   I have an elipitical machine that I have been using and i am still not losing. Any advice would be helpful. I do mess up and eat the wrong thing sometime but for the most part I am faithful, I have trouble getting the calcium down it makes me nauseated, I am trying to find one I really like.   Thanks for listening I appreciate any help, and advice you can give.

I Feel Like I'm Gaining Instead Of Losing

I haven't purchased a scale because I didn't want to be weighing myself every day. I am 24 days post op and not sure if i'm losing like i should. When I had my 2 week appointment I had lost 25 lbs. My clothes don't feel as loose as they should at least to me. My stomach feels like it bloated, my incision still hurts like hell.   I'm having trouble getting all my vitamins in daily, and I need to start exercising. I'm sure that will help me alot. I am still off work and i'm scared to go back for fear no one will be able to tell i've lost weight. Although I do feel really good. I eat chicken turkey and refried beans all the time trying to get the protein in, my nutritionist told me to eat chicken every meal if it stays down. I don't crave the bad foods i used to eat so I think that's a good thing.   Has anyone else felt this way or been through this?

Am I Doing The Right Thing?

Hey everyone, Hope all is well. As for me I was sleeved on 01/18. Since I had my sleeve everything has been going great. And I am so thankful. I am drinking my crystal light and water. I ate some beans and applesauce. The new protein drink was disgusting getting some more good ones tomorrow.   I don't know when i am full so I just eat the small amount i put on my little plate. Everything stays down. Should I be eating more or less?   Thanks

One Day To Go.....keep Me In Your Prayers

As I write this, I have so many thoughts going through my head. The one thing I am not, is scared and fearful. This is the first surgery I have ever had and feel like it is one ot the best choices I have ever made for myself. I have the weird thoughts about what if I don't wake up, but my mind tell me this has been done so many times and so many people have had such great success, that GOD will make sure I am in that number to.   This forum has been so helpful to me. I have learned alot and know there is plenty more to learn. I read blogs some make me laugh and some have even had me in tears. While on this journey I plan on making it a positive and motivating journey, not just for me but hopefully for some of you as well.   I will always remember the "Big Girl", but I am ready to embrace the skinny girl with open arms.   Keep me in you prayers and, I can't wait to be on the loser side. Good luck and prayers to all the future sleevers.

4th Day Of Pre-op Diet

Hi, this is the 4th day of my preop diet. Things are going well. Yesterday I did cheat and ate one piece of hot wing from kfc drank one protein shake and ate green beans. Today I am not hungry i ate an apple and drank one 8 oz. bottle of crystal light. I will have my lean chicken and green beans tonight. I can have 2 protein shakes, and a meal on my preop that is what saves me.   It seem like it's getting easier. I know I need to get the protein shakes in but today i didn't want it. I really want this to be successful.   Thanks for stop by and reading my blog.

I didn't realize how addcted to food I am.   I go to the doctor tomorrow to get my surgery clearance, I am a little worried, back in 2003 I had a blood clot on my left ventrical. I have been feeling great since but still a little nervous. I am paraying everything goes ok tomorrow. Please pray for me.   Well I hear as the time goes on it get's a little easier. Time will tell.   Thanks, Smilecharmer ô¿ô

1st Day Of Pre-op Diet

This is my first day of my pre-op diet. It has not been that bad. I managed to drink my crystal light, but I forgot to get some protein. I called the Nutrionist today she stated I could eat 4-6 0unces of lean meat, so I had 1 chicken strip and green beans. It took me 30 mins to eat trying to get into the habit.   I went to Walmart and boy did I want so much of the junk I used to eat, but I passed it by. I was proud of myself.   I am looking forward to ths journey and really want it to work. This is truly a test for me. I sometimes wonder if it is really what I want to do. I know if I want the results I need to do the work. My surgery is scheduled for 1/18/12, i am more excited than scared.     I will stop rambling...   Thanks
