I have been looking into the WLS options for a couple of years, and decided that 2011 is the year for ME.
I have decided upon the VGS because of several factors - 1. I don't have the time required for the lapband's constant maintenance, also have known several that have had it break, etc... . 2. The RnY - in my opinion - is just too evasive for me, i don't want my stuff re-routed and useless parts left in that have the potential to still cause problems down the road.
I am just now starting this process, have my consultation on 2/2/11 with Dr. E. Wilson and will go from there.
Meanwhile, my little sister had this same procedure done 11/2010, and is doing extremely well, and are a great support for each other as we are really close.
I am excited to take this journey, to follow the "yellow brick road" to a new me, inside, and out.
