Tried something new

This morning I am trying a Cytomax protein water. 20oz, 40g protein 160 cal. even has 25% of your calcium.   Not too bad, but super sweet. I am cutting it with water. My nut said it can count as my water after surgery. I tried the Tropical flavor. Kind of pina-colda tasting. I might try freezing some into icecubes and then running through a slushy machine. Would be kind of like having an icey.   Mother's day was kind of a bummer. Had to get up and make breakfast because my daughter had a friend sleepover and she had to leave early for church. I say "had to", I didn't "have to", but I always feel like Ineed to take care of guests.   Kids gave me cards, then I think hubby was feeling bad, so he was trying to whisper to my son to go up to the store and buy me some flowers. Don't bother. After the fact don't count with me. A little thought before hand would have meant more. Oh well, no time for a pity-party now. I am taking back my life, and the rest of them be damned :cursing:

Time to start planning....

Being the uber type-A person that I am.....I have of course made all kinds of lists and lists of my lists to get ready for surgery. I thought I would use this blog entry to keep track of things as I go.   To buy:   loose jammies gasx chewable viatmins shakes RTD protein powders SF jello SF popcicles broth magic bullet stuff to make shakes on the road dcaf b12 protein waters-cytomax breath strips benefiber       Today I tried the Jay Robb egg white protein mix. 24g protein 110 cal. I mixed it with mootopia milk 6oz 65cal 9g protein   It wasn't too bad!! Not overly sweet. I added a few icecubes in the blender with it.

Mother's Day

Well here it is Mother's Day and I am the only one up so far (almost 9:00 in the morning). I have already walked the dogs, fed them, cooked up some bacon and prepped the rest of the ingredients to make breakfast tacos for the family (when they decide to get up  The third load of laundry is getting ready to go in the dryer.   Am I a martyr? Naaawwww! I think the hardest part of my surgery is going to be taking care of my family, or thinking that I need to. My husband seems supportive, but I don't think he understands what the impact is going to be. My children (two teenagers) don't really say anthing. I think my daughter is secretly mad. I was planning on taking her and a friend to either Florida or the Bahamas, but it is conflicting with my surgery date. I was doing the whole vacation for them. I don't want to walk around in the heat in Florida or, egads!!!, put on a bathing suit at the beach. I finally told her that this was my time and we could take a trip another time.   I have been traveling mon-thurs for two-three weeks a month for the past two years. During that time I would come home late Thursday night, work from home on Friday, do 12 loads of laundry, grocery shop, run errands, take the kids wherever they wanted to go and cook several meals for the next week. I found that I was resenting my time at home. So I have stopped cooking the extra meals. It is time for them to learn to fend for themselves. So far no one has died   This is the first step in a journey for me to reclaim my life. I am going to do things for ME!!:cursing:
