Quick update...

First let me say to all the fellow georgians who have been reaching out, I'M VERY SORRY TO HAVE KEPT YOU WAITING THIS LONG, And to all others who have reached out.A quick recap, i had surgery on Feb 19th,2010, and i have stayed away from the boards because i had a three week stall post op.I started getting extreme anxiety with shortness of breath everytime i got on the scale and it hadn't moved.I did however lose alot of inches around my waist (at least 6-7 inches) at that time which was keeping me sane.I started working out and i saw results but the only people commenting where my mom and dad saying i look like i lost weight.My hairdresser almost three weeks after surgery asked me again if i had had the surgery yet.Bummer!Flash forward,i have definetly lost weight and can see some real results.Although i've only lost 33 pounds or so, i have estimated my weight loss to be around 10lbs per month + INCHES,which is slow compared to most, but i eat what i want and workouT.People are commenting and saying i have lost alot of weight now.Prior to surgery,i started looking into Plastics, but at this rate, i wont need it.So my advice is that even if you are a slow loser, the fact that you had surgery is a motivation and it has really helped me to stay focused on the long term.There is no way i would have been this successful for this long without setbacks had it not been for the surgery.Even on my bad days or when i'm invited to an all u can eat buffet, the sleeve is still working for me.My hopes are that i will continue losing 10lbs per month till i reach goal.By the way,i dont do any meal replacements with shakes for all wondering which may also be causing slower weight loss.:cursing:

Finally got pictures working...

Goodmorning, the message board was so helpful, someone asked was there a trick to posting on OH, and someone replied with a photo reducer link.Wow.So finally I'm unveiled to the world.When i first started loggin on, i thought there would be alot of imposters trying to sell me on different doctors, so i used a different name on OH which is Mellaella, and Dreaming on this website.I just asked permission to have Dreaming switched to Mellaella because i would like continuity(AND no one has tried to sell me on any doctor!).This is all becoming reality.I applied for my passport, and have told my family about my plans.I'm currently waiting on my income taxes and saving every paycheck.It cost alot of money to be fat.I spend half of my check on different food options daily.I know the bank employees must think i'm a food addict when they pull up my statement.I'm wondering what i will do with myself once this process gets under way....In the meantime,i'm trying to find every tax deduction possible to up the amount i get back.Do they deduct for weightloss attempts outside of surgery, cause in 2009, i spent a total of about $1000.00 on a personal trainer + the cost for gym fees,Jenny Craig for a few weeks, Oriental weightloss tea,Weight Watchers and Phentermine diet pills plus Md's fees.Thanks for reading this rant!Have a good day:mellow:

always something...

Goodmorning, first let me say i have not had the surgery.So no stories about that here.But i am having unexpected situatations coming up that are causing me stress.So i had everything planned out.I was going to use my income tax, along with a couple paychecks and have the surgery at the end of the month(Jan 28th to be exact.Ok, but now it seems i'm having slight car problems, ok big car problems it is not confirmed or anything ,but it appears my transmission is acting funny.And I have a 2006 E350 MERCEDES.$$$$$$ Ooch!I'm taking it in for service but damn, thats gonna cost me.I couldnt sleep last night thinking about it,sabbotage in the making:sad0:

a LITTLE BIT CLOSER TO SURGERY....

Hello everyone, i know i havent blogged in a while.Sorry.So everything is fine with the car.I'm set to go to Aceves on the 19th of February.I'm starting to feel very optimistic.I was approved for a loan with Med choice, but the interest rate is like 18%, so I'm trying to save my own money at this point,and will use a small portion of the loan.So all of a sudden,i'm having back pain from bending over, walking or doing anything physical.I gained a few pounds due to stress which has pushed my back over the edge. I know i need this surgery because I no longer feel motivated to go on a diet.I'm so tired of dieting.I plan to go on Atkins pre-op on February 5th.
