1 Day Post Op

Well, my surgery went fine yesterday...they had to repair my hiatal hernia, so i'm pretty sore right now...i've been walking around and some of the gas pains have settled down... woke up in pain near the port site... not hungry, but have been sipping on broth and water and so far no sickness...thanks for your prayers and support..

1St Dr. Visit Post-Op

Had my first post - op visit today... things went great. lost 17lbs already. Nutritionist gave me some great ideas and a little plate to eat on... start my mushies this friday... still on my journey... feeling great!!!

Solids!!!

Well today was the beginning of solids for me.. I started my day off with a whole wheat muffin and scambled eggs... then a little taco soup... My husband and I have not been out since April... Today we went to see "That's My Boy"... it was so funny. I wasn't even tempted to eat some of his HUGE bucket of popcorn... later we went out to On the Border... I had the grilled fish tacos, refried beans and grilled veggies. I decided not the eat the taco shells, just had the fish and veggies... everything went down nicely with no problems. I was full after one taco and a spoon of beans... the hardest thing was not drinking while eating...but other than that, I had a great time... life goes on!!!

Hungry!!

Well I'm six days post-op... still a having a little soreness whenever I bend, but not too much pain. Today was my first day back at work. So far things are ok except for the hunger. I started noticing yesterday, that after I have a few sips of soup, I start to feel really full... then about 10 minutes later, I'm starving. I start having mushies next week, God I hope that helps...

Tummy Troubles

I am posing this question to band vets... i notice that i have a tightness in my tummy... is this normal? 3 weeks post op... is it possible that the band is too tight? or does it take time to for my tummy to get used to the band... will i feel this way forever? not in pain just feeling strange...

All Smiles

School is out.... summer time is just wonderful. love the kiddos but I so needed a break. I decided to do a little cleaning. As I sorted through some of my clothes, I noticed that most of them were too big. So what's a girl to do? What else is there but to shop!!! I went into the store to try on a few things and WOW... A size 14 regular pant suit... It fit perfectly even the jacket... Although I have only lost 25 pounds the inches are really melthing away... I am thanking and praising God for the little things!!!

Curves

Officially started my exercising routine.... I started curves today. It looked pretty simple at first... but man!!! I am really out of shape. The 80 year old woman next to me, put me to shame. It took a while, but I think I got it now. Sitting at home, thinking about how my life has changed over the last few weeks. No more pigging out with my friends, no more sitting around eating and watching tv. I am truly loving my Life right now. Dr. appointment tomorrow, not really looking forward to getting a fill, maybe I won't need one.
